Lawn Mower Choice
Which Is The Best Lawn Mower For You?

Lawn Mower Choice
Choose the best lawn mower type for your needs

With the huge amount of variety in the lawn mower market it can be very difficult to know waht type of lawn mower to choose.

Which is the best lawn mower for you?

Analysing your needs will make the choice much easier. You won't need a big ride on lawn mower for a 30 sqm lawn. A small push mower or a rechargeable lawn mower will be just fine!

You should also consider the storage space you need for a mower. Walk behind lawn mowers need less storage space than the bigger riding mowers. This is also an important factor to think about before you buy a lawn mower.

Lawn Mower Choice ...choosing a lawn mower for your lawn!

by John Smith

Lawn Mower Choice can be crucial to the look of your lawn!

Buying a new lawn mower can be a trying experience at best. There are so many things to take into consideration that most people simply purchase the first one they look at. If you follow some of these tips for choosing a lawn mower, it will help you make an informed decision and get the best lawn mower for your money.

Check Out the Engine:

One of the most important things to consider when you choose a lawn mower is the engine. You want to choose an engine size that is appropriate for your needs.

You will also need to make sure it will do the job you need it to do. If you buy a mower with an engine that is too small for the job, it will burn up before the mowing season is over.

Determine the Size of your Lawn:

Most push lawn mowers are fine for small lawns of half an acre or less. The smaller the lawn the smaller the lawn mower cut you will need. For instance, a twenty inch mower is fine for a small lawn but if your lawn is a large one, you may want to go with a wider cutting width like a twenty-one or twenty-two inch cutting width.

If you have a very large lawn, you may want a riding mower with a much wider cut such as a thirty-two inch cut width. You will still need a push lawn mower as well because there are areas of your lawn that a riding mower will not be able to cut and this will have to be done with a push mower.

Your Lawn's Condition:

Another determining factor is the condition of your lawn. If you have a large lawn and want a riding mower, consider the terrain of the lawn. If there are a lot of obstacles, a push mower may better suit your needs. Obstacles create problems for riding mowers that a push mower can handle with ease.

For instance, a riding mower is apt to knock down flower bed walls and damage tree trunks if there is not enough room for the mower to pass. A sloped lawn calls for a self-propelled push mower rather than one that you have to push yourself.

Your Physical Condition:

Take into consideration your age and physical abilities when you are purchasing a new mower. Your ability to push a lawn mower or walk for extended periods of time will help you determine the lawn mower that is right for you.

Features of the Mower:

Finally, take into account the features of the lawn mower you are considering. Some of the features may include things like mulching lawn mowers with a mulching blade, a bagger, self propelled and an easy start mower. Mulch is a natural fertilizer for your lawn so the mulching blade may be one of the features you require.

Baggers keep your lawn looking nice without a straw layer lying on top. They also prevent throwing of small twigs and rocks that can damage your home or even injure.

Lawn Mower Choice doesn't have to be the heavy chore that it first appears.
